When Baro? — Warframe Companion App

Introduction

"When Baro?" is a companion app for the video game Warframe that tracks the in-game merchant Baro Ki'Teer's visits, inventory, and lets users manage wishlists and reviews. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Data We Collect

We collect the minimum data necessary to provide the app's features:

• Device Identifier (UUID) — A randomly generated ID stored on your device, used to associate your reviews and preferences. This is not linked to your identity.
• Display Name — An optional name you choose (default: "Anonymous") that appears on reviews you post.
• Push Notification Token — If you enable notifications, your Expo push token is sent to our server so we can deliver Baro arrival alerts and wishlist notifications.
• Reviews — Text content you submit when reviewing items, along with your display name and device ID.
• Crash Reports & Performance Data — Basic technical data about app crashes and performance issues to help us fix bugs and improve the app. This includes error messages, stack traces, and device information but does not include personal data.

Data We Do Not Collect

• Email address, phone number, or real name
• Location data
• Contacts, photos, or files
• Advertising identifiers
• Marketing analytics or behavioral tracking data

How We Use Your Data

• Device ID — To attribute reviews and manage your push token registration.
• Push Token — To send notifications about Baro Ki'Teer's arrival/departure and wishlist item availability.
• Display Name & Reviews — To show your reviews to other users of the app.
• Crash & Performance Data — To diagnose and fix technical issues and improve app stability.

Data Storage & Security

Your device ID and preferences are stored locally on your device using secure storage. Wishlist and item data are cached in a local SQLite database. Server-side data (push tokens, reviews) is stored on our backend and transmitted over HTTPS.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Expo Push Notification Service — To deliver push notifications. Subject to Expo's Privacy Policy.
• Expo Insights — To collect crash reports and performance metrics. Subject to Expo's Privacy Policy.
• Microsoft Azure Functions — Our backend is hosted on Azure. Subject to Microsoft's Privacy Statement.
• Cloudflare — Content delivery network (CDN) and caching service for API requests. Subject to Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

We do not use any advertising or behavioral tracking SDKs.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties. Your display name and review content are visible to other app users. We may disclose data if required by law.

Data Retention & Deletion

Reviews and push tokens are retained on our server until you remove them. You can disable notifications at any time in the app's Settings to unregister your push token. To request deletion of your reviews or data, contact us at the email below.

Your Choices

• You can disable push notifications in Settings at any time.
• You can change or remove your display name at any time.
• You can delete your reviews from the app.
• You can request full data deletion by contacting us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the effective date at the top. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
